Cancer is a very personal illness; it cant be seen, at least not until its ravages can no longer be checked, it cant be "caught" or transmitted and its victims are utterly random, despite what so called Life Style gurus will tell you; Cancer patients come in all shapes and sizes, from all and any background, from any age group, be they wealthy or poor, models of moderation in diet or gastronomic gluttons, cancer doesnt care. Living with cancer is a personal thing too, but surviving cancer means living every day, being positive and optimistic, something not always easy to maintain with your family and loved ones worrying about you, let alone a media hungry for news as in Kates case.
