I hope all my American buddys are enjoying the Total Solar Eclipse as it appears across the country tonight. I was lucky enough to witness the last such event here in the UK in August 1999 when I and a few of the guys I worked with on the railway travelled down to Cornwall to see it, and it was a truly amazing, breathtaking sight none of us would ever see again in the UK. Enjoy, but dont watch it with the naked eye. I imagine that in the USA where events like this are properly organized and martialled there will be plenty of eye protection gear supplied by the organizers; back in 1999 in the UK we had to bring our own lol!

Hopefully now that Princess Kate has spoken about her illness the media and the trolls will leave her, Prince William and their young family alone. Cancer is a very personal illness; it cant be seen, at least not until its ravages can no longer be checked, it cant be "caught" or transmitted and its victims are utterly random, despite what so called Life Style gurus will tell you; Cancer patients come in all shapes and sizes, from all and any background, from any age group, be they wealthy or poor, models of moderation in diet or gastronomic gluttons, cancer doesnt care. Living with cancer is a personal thing too, but surviving cancer means living every day, being positive and optimistic, something not always easy to maintain with your family and loved ones worrying about you, let alone a media hungry for news as in Kates case. Here in the UK although our NHS is short of doctors and nurses and waiting times for operations are terrible, it has long been a world leader in cancer care,

At last, I finally finished the last part of the saga I began with Jessi Bowen some 18 months ago! Daisy Pierce has pushed, coerced and bullied Nikki Martin back to somewhere near full fitness, and both have agreed to a boxing match for a local charity! This 8 part series has been, largely, a work of love and more largely, inspired by the incredible writing of Jessi, without her talent and enthusiasm Nikkis Odyssey would never have happened! Thank you, Kitten!😸😎
